y mission as a Psychotherapist and Yoga Teacher is to help clients move through anxiety, depression and relationship issues, or whatever they feel is blocking them from feeling at ease, joyful and fulfilled in their lives. I accomplish this in a nurturing and supportive environment that connects how early patterning, distorted thinking and challenges in personal effectiveness keep us stuck and ambivalent about moving forward in our lives.
s a former Director of Sales and Advertising, I learned first-hand what it takes to motivate, coach and inspire people and teams to be their best both personally and professionally. I also learned that how we process our physical stress responses (fight-flight-freeze) and our emotional reactions, directly correlates to how successful we are at navigating our personal and professional challenges.
Our thoughts greatly influence our mood – both positively and negatively. To that end, I employ proven clinical tools (including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), interventions and mind-body techniques that enable clients to find greater joy and meaning in their life and relationships.
My training as a Registered Yoga Teacher is a perfect adjunct to traditional therapy. We often hold stress, tension, unhappiness, anxiety and depression in our bodies. Yoga and yoga breathing techniques help relieve us from the physical symptoms that come with feeling stressed and anxious.
We have over 60,000 thoughts a day, most of those are negative!* Together we work to interrupt and refocus your cycle of negative thinking which brings you an increased sense of self-worth and confidence. Have you heard this quote? “If you’re going to beat yourself up, use a feather”. In other words, you will learn to be gentle with yourself throughout the process.
